Easy access to the Pearl Islands by air

Daily Commercial Flights

Air Panama is the reliable commercial air service that provides daily flights to Contadora, Isla Del Rey, Isla San Jose, and occasionally other islands. www.AirPanama.com

Charter a Float Plane

There is an excellent float plane charter service in Panama, which allows you to land in those secluded bays to fish and explore on your own… or arrive in style at the local resort. www.flyelevair.com/

Fly Yourself or Charter

If you are a private pilot, this is the easiest way to get to the islands… either fly your own, or rent a plane for a few days to explore the archipelago. And, if you don’t have your pilot’s license yet… charters are easy and hassle-free! www.aeroalbrook.com

Helicopter

About 20 minutes from Panama City in a helicopter, this is a thrilling way to see the islands, as well as the whales, dolphins, scout properties, or land on a deserted beach for an amazing picnic!

Even Easier Access to the Pearl Islands by Sea

The Ferry

A leisurely 2-hour ferry ride from Panama City, the ferry has daily trips to several of the Pearl Islands. It’s also an affordable way to see whales and dolphins and some of the outlying islands. www.SeaLasPerlas.com

Yacht or Fishing Boat

Chartering a boat and Captain is a thrilling way to get to the islands… and by the time you arrive you will likely have already caught your dinner.  Just ask the chef at any of the local restaurants to cook up your catch… remember to share!

Swim…

Just kidding!  Although the waters are comfortably warm and quite safe, the 40-mile trip from the Pearl Islands to Panama City is likely too far to swim!

Remember to keep a sharp lookout…

Whales and dolphins are frequent vistor to the Pearl Islands.  The whales are here from July through October and our dolphin friends are here year-round.
